World War II Air Force Combat Bomber Pilot; Night City Editor of Long Island’s Newsday; Pastor of Methodist churches in Massapequa, NY and Indianapolis, IN, and Congregational church in Sayville, NY; President of Wesley College, Grand Forks, ND; Director of Academic Counseling and Assist. VP for Administration at C.W. Post Campus, L. I. U.; Adjunct Professor at C. W. Post, Nassau Community College; Vice-President for Administration at Dowling College; Fund-raising Consultant with United Methodist Church Office of Financial Field Service; President of Methodist Foundation of Virginia, Inc. Husband of Dr. M. Luise Sheffield – Counseling Psychologist. Father of David E. Sheffield, Environmental Engineer. Grandfather of Joseph Wesley Sheffield, Alastair Drew Sheffield, and Katrina Marie McBrien. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Venice, Florida on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 3:00 PM.
