Obituary of Sheldon Scotty L. Scott

Sheldon “Scotty” L. Scott of Venice, FL passed away April 22, 2008. He was born July 19, 1911 in Olean, NY and lived in Groveland, FL for 34 years prior to moving to Venice. He was a meat cutter by trade and a volunteer fireman in Olean. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olean and an Elder in the South Lake Presbyterian Church in Clermont, FL. Scotty was loved by many and known for his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Leona. Survivors include two daughters: Geneva K. Jones of Lenoir City, TN and Barbara (John) Lefquist of Venice, FL; grandchildren: Don Sims, Jr. and Nancy Curtis; great grandchildren: Tia and Rion Wilkins and Kellie Hardin. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews including Allan Scott of Portville, NY.
