Obituary of Josephine Wood

Josephine (Panek) Wood, age 90, of Nokomis, Florida, passed away on May 2, 2008. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 28, 1917. She moved to Nokomis in 2000 from the Chicago suburbs where she was a member of St. Patrick’s in Wadsworth, Illinois. She is survived by her children, Annette (Richard) Galla of Libertyville, Illinois, Ronald (Theresa) Panek of Naperville, Illinois, Joseph (Mary) Panek of Nokomis, Florida and a sister-in-law, Irene Olszewski of Fox Lake, Illinois. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. There are no services planned at this time. Burial will be held in Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1230 South Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34239 or to TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238.
