Obituary of Raymond T. Heitz
Raymond T. Heitz (May 30, 1964 – April 9, 2024)
Raymond T. Heitz was born in Somerville, NJ and recently relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida from Hermitage, Tennessee. Raymond is survived by his siters Joann Salek-Holsbeeke and Mary Heitz, brothers Patrick, Daniel, and Dennis Heitz, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo Heitz (Ashey); father Paul Leroy Heitz; brother Paul James Heitz; sister Bonnie J. Maxwell (Heitz); and brother-in-law Wim Holsbeeke.
Ray was a skilled roofer and owner of ‘Red’s Roofing” in Pompano Beach, FL. He worked construction and maintenance throughout his life in Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Tennessee. Ray loved animals, caring deeply for his cat “Little Girl”, feeding birds, bunnies, and squirrels so his cat would have entertainment. Recently Ray discovered he had a green thumb for orchids and was proud of the beautiful orchid he raised.
A private remembrance with his family in Florida will be held. May eternal rest be granted to him and may perpetual light shine upon him.
