Nina Chietero, 72, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Warwick, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 4th, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, New York on January 29th, 1952, to the late John and Sophie Skobla, Nina grew up in Queens, raised her family in Warwick and spent most of her career in healthcare. Upon retiring to Florida, Nina volunteered with the Lions Club and Tidewell Treasures.

Nina is preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony Chietero and survived by her children Michael, Paul (Alexa), Kristin (William); stepdaughter Jeanette; 4 grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Gavin and Ella; Sister Sonia (Glenn); Goddaughter Teresa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nina enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. As a loving and fun grandmother, some favorite memories from her grandchildren are “anytime we would be together, the jokes and games and always laughing” and “Grandma riding all the cool roller coasters at Busch Gardens.” They kept her young at heart.

Nina will forever be remembered for her courage, strength and warrior spirit.
