I am one of the night workers who had the good fortune of taking care of Marion in her last years. She has been a joy to know.

Marion was a great influene in my life. I'm very sad to hear of her passing. She was instrumental in my life by being a freind and mentor. Marion taught guitar at our store for many years and became very close to our family. We had a clinic in our store in the mid 70's , Gibson Guitars sent Les Paul . Marion a Les talked of the good oldays. This was history in the making to have them together at the same place.

I remember Marion from years ago when we lived on Forest Ave. in Dayton and she lived around the corner on Squirrel Road. She was a good friend and looked after another neighbor, who lived on Neal Ave at the end of Squirrel Road, Jane Tilton. I believe she told me they attended school together. When her friend, Jane Tilton, lost her home for the building of the Grandview Hospital parking garage, Marion helped her get relocated in a nice little home on Collinwood Ave., still in the Five Oaks Neighborhood of Dayon. when I bought my house over 30 years ago, Jane was my neighbor across the little street and Marion faithfully assisted her with needs and friendship. She was a great lady! She gave a lot to the Dayton community. Dorisanne Shuey - Five Oaks Area, Dayton, Ohio

I was lucky to have met Marion in 2007,when she became a resident where I work. We quickly became friends...I have many memories..one i will hold dear to my heart is when helping her with her showers she would say I don't work in a coal mine and we would start singing" working in a coal mine" it still makes me smile ... :-) You may be gone but will never be forgotten, you will always be in my heart...love & miss you already!! It helps me to know your in heaven playing your music (which you loved) watching down on me. I learned alot from you & for that I thank you !!! I'm gonna miss seeing your smiling face every morning & hearing you play your guitar...thanks for all the great times & memories you gave to me!! Just know my heart is broken but i know your at peace...till we meet again.....your girl Debbie
