Obituary of William R. Parshall
William R. Parshall, aged 73 years young, of Venice, FL, passed away peacefully at his home in Venice on October 7, 2023. Bill was born in Chicago, IL on May 22, 1950. He was the third and youngest son to Merton E. and Alice (Sorensen) Parshall.
Bill is the epitome of a Life Well Lived and Worth Being Remembered. His personality, his smile, and his laugh were notable. This spirit of love evoked the same spirit of love in each person he knew.
Bill had a remarkable ability to connect with people. His wife said he knew more "useless" information than anyone she knew. He was an encyclopedia on his passions for Golf, the Green Bay Packers, Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks. He owned multiple taverns/restaurants in Chicago, Pompano Beach FL and Dillon CO. Prior to these endeavors he worked 27 years for International Harvester, Broadview, IL
He is survived by his wife Sandra (Thompson) Parshall, with whom he traveled extensively; step-children Allan Hedin of Missoula MT and Paula Hedin of Venice FL; brother John and Marilyn (Draut) Parshall; and sister-in-law Patricia (Wieczorek) Parshall and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives who preceded Bill were his parents and his brother Charles (Chuck) Parshall.
Bill was a proud member of the Venice Moose Lodge and a sponsor of the Wounded Warrior Project and Best Friends Animal Society in Utah.
