Obituary of Richard Lee Adams
Richard “Rick” L. Adams Jr. age 60 of North Port, FL passed away on September 17, 2023. He was born on January 13th, 1963, to Richard and Marilyn Adams in Detroit, MI. Rick relocated to North Port, FL from Yale, MI in 1979 with his family. Rick worked as an equipment operator for Sarasota County for 35 years. Rick was a family man, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and caring for his dogs. In his downtime, Rick enjoyed spending time in the mountains, working in his yard, and gardening.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 26 years Pamela Adams; son John Reeves of North Port, FL; daughter BreAnna Dunne of Clearmont, FL; parents Richard Sr. and Marilyn Adams of North Port, FL; sister Laurie Kerns of North Port, FL; brother Tom Adams of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two granddaughters; and four grandsons.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 10 am at Go Church 590 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33953. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Suncoast Humane Society 6781 San Casa Drive Englewood, FL 34224 www.humane.org/#donate
