Obituary of Bernice Anne Stumphauzer

Bernice Anne Stumphauzer, age 88 of Venice, FL passed away on September 7, 2023. Bernice was born on December 6, 1934, in Lorain, OH to Michael and Stella (nee Janik) Boris. Before moving to Venice in 1999, Bernice lived in Avon, OH and worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for the T.J. Hume Company which was owned by her husband S. Theodore Stumphauzer. She enjoyed traveling in a RV with her husband, golfing, playing Mah Jongg, and spending time with family.

Bernice is preceded in death by her husband S. Theodore Stumphauzer, and her parents Michael and Stella Boris.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Stephen M. (Julianne M. Smith) Stumphauzer of Vermilion, OH; Rebecca A. (Richard) Yoch of Bakersfield, CA, Patricia A. (Andrew) Youngross of Port St. Lucie, FL, Barbara A. (P. David) Whitt of Boca Raton, FL, and Theodore J. (Debby S. Hennen) Stumphauzer of Venice, FL; as well as 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1301 Center Road, Venice, FL 34292 with interment in the Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Garden immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Tidewell Hospice at www.tidewellfoundation.org/donate/ .
