Obituary of Joyce S. Keister

Joyce (Stone) Keister was born on July 23, 1926, in Beloit, Wisconsin.  She married Victor Keister on May 15, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beloit. Her church family was very important to her having been a member of St. Paul for over 85 years.

Joyce was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and most recently a great, great grandmother.  She took special delight in seeing her family members grow, accomplish, and experience joy. To that end, one of her gifts was creatin engaging activities for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always the family’s biggest cheerleader!

Joyce was highly creative and gifted many of her artistic works to her family and friends. She, with her husband, Vic, enjoyed using their talents in designing and building structures for their lakefront property at Davil’s Lake in Webster, Wisconsin.

Joyce touched many lives with her genuine care, concern and love. She will be remembered with warm thoughts by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father (Molly and John Stone), brother, James Stone, and cherished sons-in-law Larry Kiefert and Bill Dement.

She is survived by her sister, Jeana (Joe) Koch; sister-in-law, Ellen Stone; children Pamela (Paul) Wiese, Lynn (Mike) Lutterman, David Keister, Michael (Kim) Keister; grandchildren Kevin (Chris) Kiefert, Belinda Tinkler/Chris Rankin, Bradley (Bekah) Dement; great grandchildren Alex Kiefert, Brie Kiefert, Breanna (Isaiah) Rodriguez, Brock Tinkler, Lilliana Combs-Dement, Kayleigh Dement; great, great grandchildren Sydney Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez; devoted nephew and niece, Larry (Mary) Diderich, Judy (John) Arneson and beloved extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be at a later date in Beloit, Wisconsin.
