Frank Neff III

Obituary of Frank Jonathan Neff III

Frank Jonathan Neff III of Venice, Florida passed away on August 3, 2023 after complications from a medical procedure.

Frank was born November 27, 1936 in York, PA.  He graduated from Manchester High School in 1954. He served four years in the Army Airborne as a paratrooper. He met his wife, Bonnie Lee Cramer, in the summer of 1958 at Otterbein Evangelical United Brethren Church in Mt. Wolf, PA. They had two sons from this union; Scott and Eric Neff.

Frank started his professional career at Standard Register Company in 1959. He left Standard to co-found Maryland Graphic Company which later became Professional Marketing Products (PMP), Inc.  Frank was successful in business but remained humble.  He would say that his success was because he surrounded himself with smart people that he loved and trusted.  His employees returned that same admiration of love and trust and felt like an extension of his family.

After 40 years in business, Frank retired and moved to a golfing community in Florida.  It was during this period that his wife of 56 years, Bonnie, suffered a long illness and passed away.

Frank was known as an avid and talented golfer.  He won several golf tournaments over the years but the one he was most proud of was his second-place finish in the Senior National Open. He also enjoyed skiing in Colorado and Germany and boating in Deep Creek, MD.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Frank was lucky enough to find love a second time. He met Kay Stratton.  They not only became golf partners but partners in life.  They spent several years playing golf and watching the sunsets from the lanai at their home in Florida.  He loved her children, Beth Wahl, Mark and Summer Stratton and son, Reese, like his own.

Frank is survived by his sons, Scott Neff and wife Kristin of Killeen, TX , and son Eric Neff of Parkton, MD , and grandson , Hunter Neff of Killeen, Texas. He is also survived by several relatives and long time friends and business partners.

Everyone who knew Frank Neff well would agree that their world will not be the same without him. He was a loving and generous father, husband, grandfather, companion, and friend to all.
