Obituary of Herbert J. Bluthardt

Herbert J. “Herbie” Bluthardt, age 84, of Venice, FL, passed away on July 8, 2023.  He was born in Cambridge, MA on October 16, 2023, to Herbert and Alice Bluthardt.  Herbie worked for the Secret Service before retiring in 1995. He moved to Venice in 2014 from Meredith, NH. 

Herbie enjoyed walking and nature. He enjoyed visits to Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee, walking in the woods, and observing the loons on the lake when he was kayaking.  He was industrious with many projects buffered by silent meditation time as he was deeply spiritual.

Surviving family members include his wife, Jackie Ball Bluthardt; daughter Molly Henry and her husband Stuart; son David Bluthardt and his wife Gina; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by daughters Jeanne Marie Bluthardt, Ann Brent McConnell, and Kate MacLaine Oncel, and grandchild Charlie Rossi McConnell.
