Obituary of Joseph Paul Franco, Jr.
Joseph Paul Franco, Jr passed away on June 30, 2023, in Venice, FL. He was born on October 13, 1935, in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Joseph Paul Franco, Sr. and Jennie DiMucci. He graduated from Bridgeton High School and attended Rutgers University. After college he worked as a 6th grade teacher and Principal at Bridgeton. He then went to Cole School as a Principal and later became supervisor of K-8 for Cherry Hill school district. He married his wife Mary Franco in 1982 and relocated to Venice, FL after retirement in 2001. His wife, Mary, passed away in 2010.
Joseph loved golf and all sports. He was a Pelican Point Country Club member.
He is predeceased by his wife Mary Franco, parents Joseph and Jennie Franco, brother Felix Franco, and stepsister Lucy Castellani.
He is survived by his stepson Jeffrey (Jeanette) Budney, stepdaughter Donna (John) Carter, stepsister Linda Sasso, sister-in-law Gladys Franco, and grandchildren Ashley (Shane) Steinberg, Jeffrey Budney, and Samantha Budney, and extended family.
