Obituary of George F. Guller

George Frank Guller (Bud), age 99, passed away on June 2, 2023, in North Port, Florida at his home. He was born September 26, 1923, to George and Jennie Guller in Newport, New York.  Bud served in the Army Airforce in World War II from November 1942 to January 1946. Bud married Jeanne Guller in October of 1947 and raised his three daughters, Linda Girvin, Nancy Thurnherr (Ralph) and Marcia Collier (Bill) on a dairy farm in Garrattsville, New York. 

Bud and Jeanne relocated to Ramblers Rest Resort Campground in Venice, Florida, after retirement, and later purchased a home in La Casa Mobile Home Park, in North Port, Florida. Bud became actively involved in shuffleboard in both parks for many years and could often be seen riding his bike around the park. 

Bud is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, his sisters, Evelyn Bliven, Frances Murphy, Emily Bowie and brother, Alfred Guller.   Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his three daughters, are his eight grandchildren, Steve Girvin, David Girvin, Carol Girvin King (Aron), and Ann Girvin Gooch (Greg), Danielle Haring (Willis), Mathew Novak, Jef Collier (Miranda) and Josh Collier (Karolina).  Bud also has seven great granddaughters, and three great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.   

Bud will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He will be remembered as someone who always puts others’ needs before his own. He is now at peace in heaven and forever in our hearts.
