Obituary of Penny Denise Raver
Penny Denise Raver, beloved spouse, mother, and Nana, passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 66 in North Port, Florida. She was born on June 25, 1956, in Connersville, Indiana, to Juanita Rose Brown and Dale F. Brown. Penny was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Penny resided in Marion, Indiana until 2016, where she created a warm and inviting home for her family, and was involved in her church, children’s schools, and more. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends at get-togethers, golfing, beach days, car rides at sunset, and bingo. She was an amazing support and integral partner of her husband’s business and career. Penny was known for always showing up unconditionally for those in need. She unknowingly and selflessly made every day brighter for everyone she touched. Her vibrant spirit and abundance of love left a mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted spouse of 47 years, Jeffrey L. Raver. Penny will be remembered as a source of inspiration and love by her children: April Raver of Marion, IN, Kelsie (Michael) Mirabella of Marion, IN, and Brittany (Clark) Brinkley of Marion, IN. She was a nurturing and caring Nana to her grandchildren: Michael (Mac) Mirabella III, Lulu Rose Mirabella, and Mason Jeffrey Mirabella.
Penny was a pillar of strength and support for her siblings. She is survived by her sisters: Susan (Larry) Steele, Kathy (Mike, at rest) Lawhorn, Fred (Toni) Brown, Kelli (Leroy) Winters-Billman, Missi Lashley, and James Brown (Jenny).
She will also be lovingly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Throughout her life, Penny exemplified kindness, empathy, compassion, unwavering faith, and selflessness. She will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, nurturing nature, and the love she showered upon her family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Penny's life will be held at Lakeview Church on June 17th at 11 am. Doors will open at 10 am for visitation with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Penny's name to the Feed The Street charity. Lakeview Wesleyan Church 5316 S.
