Dawn DePersia

Obituary of Dawn M. DePersia

Dawn M. DePersia, age 73, of Venice, FL passed away on May 12, 2023. She was born in Mineola, NY to Carl and Edith Peterson on August 11, 1949. In 2017, Dawn moved to Venice from Woodbridge, VA. Dawn worked as an accountant, bookkeeper, and office manager, but when she was not working, she was a soccer mom! She was vibrant, outgoing, and always ready with a smile and kind words, be it in the soccer world, or with strangers (anyone, anywhere), friends, and family. She was always willing to travel to visit family and new places, especially with soccer. She was practical and creative, from knitting newborn sweaters to impromptu meal prep. And she loved to dance, especially at family celebrations.

Surviving family members include her husband of 54 years, A. Trent DePersia of Venice; son Keith DePersia (Stacey) of Rotonda West, FL; daughter Kristine Loret of Venice; son Geoffrey DePersia (Meredith) of Leesburg, VA; and grandchildren Tim Loret, Jenni Loret, Elizabeth Loret, Sarah Loret, Domenic DePersia, Madison DePersia, Patton DePersia, and Cullen DePersia.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, brother Brian Peterson, and sister Barbara Palmieri.
