Obituary of Edward J Solari Jr

Edward “Ed’ J. Solari Jr., 81, of North Port, FL passed away on April 28, 2023 in Venice, FL. He was born on March 27, 1942 in Bennington, VT. Ed served in the United States Navy and worked as a Lineman at CVPS for 34 years and then retired. He was a member of the Equinox County Club, former Volunteer Fireman for Manchester, VT, Commander of VFW Post 6471 for three consecutive years and being awarded a white hat 2 of the 3 years which is a significant achievement not only for him but for the post as well.

Ed is survived by his wife Bernadette Solari of North Port, FL; son, Todd Solari of Morganton, NC; daughter, Andrea (Colby) Compton of Kennebunk, ME; sister, Elaine Friedmann of Orange Park, FL; brother, Dennis (Sandra) Solari of Warner Robbins, GA; brother, Douglas (Ramona) Solari of Englewood, FL; three grandchildren, Ella and Gray Compton of Kennebunk, ME and Callen Solari of Morganton, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J and Virginia Solari Sr., and many aunts and uncles.

There will be a military service held on May 30, 2023 at Sarasota National Cemetery at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to Tidewell Hospice Foundation (3550 South Tamiami Trail Sarasota, FL 34239).
