Tommy Nestor

Obituary of Tommy Nestor

Thomas, fondly known as Tommy, peacefully passed away at home in Murfreesboro, TN. Born October 30, 1985 to Jeanne and Thomas (pre-deceased) Nestor in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Tommy’s home was Nokomis, FL since he was 3 years old where he grew up five minutes from the beach. He loved anything on the water and outside. You could often find him fishing, boating, and beaching it around North Jetty.

He had incredible talent in the arts and could paint anything on any surface. It wasn’t unusual to see him making a skateboard from wood in the garage and then creating the most beautiful underwater scene on the boards surface.

Just like his father, he had a love of cooking and curated amazing meals on the fly.

Tommy’s smile will be missed by everyone who knew him. He had a charm that came so easy and warmed everyone’s hearts. He left us too soon but is now at peace.

He is survived by his mother, siblings Michael Nestor, Jacky McCarthy, and Shawn Nestor. He leaves behind nephews Aeden Nestor and Marcus McCarthy as well as his niece, Mya McCarthy.

We will forever miss those big brown eyes and mischievous grin.

Rest easy, Tombay.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Oyster Boys Conservation. Oyster Boys helps combat runoff pollution that threatens our Florida water. We know this would be close to Tommy’s heart.
