Obituary of Donald Carl Meminger

Donald Carl Meminger age 94 of Venice, FL passed away on February 20, 2023. Donald was born on July 15, 1928, in Adrian, Michigan. Before relocating to Florida in 2009, Donald lived in Rocester, NY. He was an accomplished musician who played the piano and pipe organ. He worked as the Director of Music at St. Mark’s church in Greece, NY for over 30 years, he was even recognized in Who’s Who as an Accompanist.

Donald is preceded in death by his wives Minna Schklar-Meminger and Sharon Dragone-Meminger; and son John Meminger.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Yost-Meminger of Venice, FL; children Michelle (Gary) Schaffer of Buffalo, NY, Michelle (Steve) Dear, Stephen Dragone, Paul Dragone all of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Tiffany Meminger, Julie Meminger, and Maria Meminger of Atlanta, GA, Victoria Schaffer, Katie Schaffer, of Buffalo, NY, Mason Dear, and McKenna Dear of Rochester, NY.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Mark’s church later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to support your local musical programs.
