Obituary of Marie S. Sheets

Marie S. Sheets, 88, of Venice, FL passed away on December 28, 2022.  She was born November 7, 1934 in Wayne County, NC to her parents, Leroy and Clyde Cooper Smith.  Marie graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1953.  She attended and graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing on August 17, 1956.  Marie and Paul were united in marriage on May 26, 1957.

Marie worked as a surgical nurse for over 40 years at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, MD.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, H. Paul Sheets of Venice, FL.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brother Linwood Smith; and one sister, Ileen Tart.

There will be a service held on January 26, 2023 at 10:00 am at Village on the Isle with Rev. Bob Haley from Christ United Methodist Church in Venice, FL officiating. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is in charge of arrangements.
