I first met Donna at the Pittsford YMCA, of Greater Rochester in NY. I had the absolute pleasure of working with her when she was the Aquatics Director and I was the Fitness Director. The best thing Donna ever did for me was when she hired a graduate student to work as a lifeguard and then recommended him to me for work in my Nautilus weight room. That was in 1987, and that man Malcolm Lickers, has now been my husband for 29 years! I could never thank Donna enough for the kind gesture of sharing her staff with me! We corresponded every Christmas and I always looked forward to her letters with family news. We both share the PEO sisterhood and that will be forever.
Our condolences to John and the rest of her family, Donna was an amazing woman and will be remembered often. With love,
Lisa and Malcolm Lickers

It has been such an honor getting to know Donna and becoming her friend. I first met Donna volunteering at Meals on Wheels. She always had a beautiful smile and treated everyone with kindness. Later as I got to know her through BVG, I was in awe and so admired how she was active in so many activities (swimming-amazing)! Jim and I feel blessed becoming friends with Donna and will miss her very much.
Our love & deepest regrets to John and Family

May you find comfort in your many happy memories.

I've never quite met a woman like Donna and I'm so happy we had the chance to meet and share much. Donna's presence was one of honesty, love, caring, giving, energy and religious beliefs. A warm sharing smile seemed to be always on her angelic face. I have shared many a precious, funny, educational and athletic moments with her.
My dearest memories were during our aerobic exercise classes in the pool. We would have a great workout and then Donna would ask us to form a circle and close our eyes. In those precious moments Donna would take us on an excursion to many different places she visited. We were all so quiet during her heart warming adventures. Her voice was so poetic and captured us all. As Donna asked us to open our eyes, we were so excited. Some wanted more details or we would linger in her shared adventure. A strong woman who gave so much to so many in her lifetime. Donna will always be in my heart as a woman to admire!
