Obituary of Jean Walcott

Jean “Jinx" Walcott, 95, of Venice, FL and Moultonborough, NH passed away on December 09, 2022.

She was born on December O8, 1927 in Reading, PA. Jean graduated in 1979 from Wright State University with studies in Anthropology and Archaeology. In Florida, she was a member of Mission Valley Golf and Country Club. She was an avid golfer (shot her age at 91), bridge player, and volunteer at Historic Spanish Point. She was aka Page Turner at the Missionaries choral group and member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.  During Summer months she played at Ridgewood Golf and Country Club, was a member of Moultonborough Women's Club and a volunteer at Castle in the Clouds.

She is survived by her sons, Clinton (lda) of Dayton, OH, Charles of Vista, CA, and Roger, Jr. (Karen) of Wellington, FL; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roger B. Walcott who was a WWII veteran; and companion, Anthony Van Buskirk.

There are no services planned at this time. Inurnment will take place in NH at a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Southeastern Guide Dogs (guidedogs.org). Farley Funeral Home in Venice is in charge of arrangements.
