Dr. Joseph Anders, Jr.

Obituary of Dr. Joseph Archie Anders, Jr.

Joseph Archie Anders Jr. passed away on November 28th, 2022 at age 67 after an incredibly too fast cancer diagnosis. He passed without pain while holding the hands of both his wife Kelley and daughter Lauren.

One of Dr. Anders’ many loves was his career as a Doctor of Internal Medicine. He loved his patients, his colleagues, and above all he loved fighting for what was right. He has touched many lives throughout his 40+ years practicing medicine and surely would have continued if given the chance.

Joe was a gypsy at heart. One of his passions was travel- something he loved doing and something he loved planning so he could share the experience with those he loved most. Close family, Friends that had become family, The Hogs, and anyone else who was open to his best recommendations.

If he was not in the hospital doing rounds or traveling, Joe was golfing. A boring game to some, but a complete unwind for himself.

The world was not ready to lose Joe Anders and his small family will have a hole that cannot be filled, but memories of him will always be.

He had an unforgettable soul, a kind heart, and a genuine love for the life he had created that was surrounded by his favorite people.

Joe’s visitation & service will be held on Sunday December 4, 2022 with visitation from 11am-1pm with service to immediately follow.

Let us all remember Joe the way he would want us to remember him.

In lieu of flowers, we would kindly appreciate donations made to Englewood Hospital.
