Obituary of John Q. Snell

John “Jack” Q. Snell age 84 of Venice, FL passed away on October 30, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on April 12, 1938, to Leighton and Beatrice Snell. Jack graduated with a degree in Chemistry from California State University in Los Angeles in 1961. Jack was also a veteran serving as a U.S. Army Medic and later worked for 45 years as a chemist and in sales for Cytec Industries. In 2002 Jack relocated to Venice, FL from Concord, NC. Jack was a member of several organizations, among them The Knights of Columbus, Loyal Order of the Moose, U.S. Golf Association, and the Waterford Golf Club

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Leighton and Beatrice Snell, and wife Mary Kay Snell.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Julene Snell of Venice, FL; daughter Kelly (Nigel) Andrews of Barnegat, NJ; son Michael (Dianne) Snell of Port Charlotte, FL; Grandchildren Zachary Andrews, Rachel Andrews, Amanda (Matthew) Mendez, and Alyssa Snell all of New Jersey.

A funeral mass will be held on November 11, 2022, at 9:45 am at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. The family asks in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation https://t2t.org/donate/
