Obituary of Renate Augenstein

Renate Augenstein of Venice, FL passed away on October 6, 2022.

Born on February 12, 1940, in Bremen, Germany. Renate had a fulfilling career as a restaurant owner along with her husband Henry for 35 plus years. They owned the Café Mozart in Union, NJ and the  Edelweiss in Pocono Pines, PA.

For Renate family was her greatest sense of pride. An when it came to her family nothing was ever too much. She was known throughout her friends and family as a “tough cookie”, but her greatest feature was her heart of gold.

Renate is survived by her children: Sylvia (Douglas) Hartman, Henry (Karen) Augenstein. As well as by her most beloved grandchildren; Victoria, Abigail, Henry Thomas, and Bradley. She is preceded in death by her treasured husband Henry D Augenstein.

Services will be held privately by the family.
