Obituary of Roman L. Maluk
Roman Maluk age 96 of North Port, FL passed away on August 7, 2022.
Born to Ivan and Paraskevia Maluk of Poland on April 20, 1926. After coming to the United States of America, he went on to serve in the United States Army as a medic, from September 23, 1950, to September 30, 1952, retiring as a Corporal.
Roman was one of the pillars of the Ukrainian -American community of North Port, FL. He was the Pastor’s second at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church of North Port. He served on the Governing board of St. Andrew’s Religious and Cultural Center in North Port for many years. He held the title of President for three years. Over the years he organized many events for the Ukrainian- American Community.
Roman is survived by his sister Alexandra Sawyn, his nephew George (Monica); nieces Nadia, Roxolana, and Chrystyna (Darko), and their children Alexander, Volodimir, Adrian, Gregory, and Chrystyna. As well as by Alexandra Popel daughter of Jaroslawa Maluk. He is preceded in death by his father Ivan Maluk, mother Paraskevia Maluk, and wife Jaroslawa Maluk.
