Obituary of Steven Wayne Sasher

Steven Wayne Sasher passed away July 29th, 2022 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Steve was born July 23rd, 1964, in Richmond, Indiana, to Richard “Dick” and Nancy Rhoades Sasher. He was an avid musician who played piano, guitar and the saxophone. He played in the Richmond H.S Band and attended Sinclair College.

Steve served his community saving lives as a Firefighter/EMT for 27 years in Charlotte County, Florida. After retirement, Steve enjoyed travelling and cruising with his wife of 32 years, Kathy Postell Sasher. He enjoyed spending time with his sons Brian and Miles Seekford and his five grand children who called him “Papa”.

Steve is survived by his wife Kathy, sons Brian and his wife Michelle Seekford, Miles and his wife Brittney Seekford and his grandchildren Madison, Wesley, Ava, Chase and Jaxon Seekford; his brother Brad; sister Cindy Mussoni, and Aunt Dede Fahrney. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Sue Sasher.

Memorial services will be August 14th at 2pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 400 Field Avenue, Venice, 34385 with reception to follow. Donations in memory may be sent to Tunnels to Towers Foundation www.T2T.org
