Obituary of Margaret F. Anderson

Margaret F. “Margie” Anderson, age 99, of Nokomis, FL, passed away on July 23, 2022.  She was born in Knox County, MO on May 7, 1923 to Serrel and Florence Fountain.  Margie resided in Grain Valley, MO before moving to Florida.  While living in Lakeland, she worked at Florida Southern College.  In 2010, Margie settled in Nokomis. 

Margie was a proud member of the Greatest Generation.  She helped build B25 bombers in support of the war effort.  She had many interests and enjoyed traveling, baking, cooking, painting, decorating, sewing, quilting and most of all gardening.  She had 5 children and loved them all.

Surviving family members include her daughters, Marlene Rempe (Bob) of Arizona, Patti Brown (Michael) of Missouri, Kerri Matthews (Rick) of Florida, and SeDonna Kelly of Missouri; sister Ezelene Snell; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, James Michael Kelly; 2 husbands, James V. Kelly and Andy Anderson; sisters Betty, Pat, and Joe; and brothers Noonie and Walter.

A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, on Thursday, July 28th from 9:00 – 10:00 am followed by a funeral service.  Burial will be at Venice Memorial Gardens.
