Obituary of Bessie Lee George
Bessie Lee George, age 86, of Venice, Florida, passed away on June 13, 2022. She was born in Lawrence County, Indiana on February 12, 1936 and moved to Venice in 1960 and retired from GTE/Verizon early 1990’s. Her biggest passion was reading and enjoyed traveling with her son, Tim all over Florida watching him race.
Bessie leaves behind her two sons, Tim (Robin) George of Venice, Dana (Julia) George of Franklin, NC; three sisters, Cindy Buckles of Michigan, Ethel Johnson of Minnesota and Navy Weaver of Indiana; seven granddaughters; Susanne, Brandi, Rebecca, Cheyenne, Tamara, Shelbie and Sabrina. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, June 26th from 1:00PM-4:00PM at 309 Kunze Road in Venice.
