I first met Jeff in the fall of 1964, but one of the fondest memories I have of him occurred later in the summer of 1973. I was with the US Air Force stationed in Elkhorn, Nebraska, when a security guard informed me there were “two visitors from Attleboro waiting for me in the day room.” The two visitors were none other than Jeff and mutual friend Scott Keeler, hitchhiking their way across the country!
We spent a few days partying before I dropped them off on I-80 on the Iowa-Nebraska border so they could continue their journey west. Years later Jeff filled me in on ALL of the details of their exciting adventure.
