Jacqueline “Jackie” Rogers 2/8/1942 – 6/9/2022

Should you have known Jackie you always understood that, regardless of obstacles in her life – the M.S., loss of hearing, a beautiful body slowly being chipped away. Namely these past years to hated cancer coming back and attacking her more devastatingly with each onslaught, but she never gave up.  She quietly answered those that asked her “how are you today?” with a smile “I’m on the right side of the grass”.  So do go forth each day knowing that you too can give your own smile and optimistic greeting to those around you.

Jackie leaves her husband James Rogers of Venice, her brother Dr. Thomas Halwax (Sheri) of Oak Forest, IL and Sarasota, and all those with whom she shared that wonderful smile. 

We wish to thank Dr. Neal Maun,  Dr. John Wassenaur,  the Tidewell Hospice caregivers, and the smiling “Meals on Wheels” volunteers.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society, Tidewell Hospice, or Venice Area Mobile Meals would be appreciated.
