Obituary of Isabel Sellers

Isabel Kearns Sellers, 78, Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, with her family by her side.  She was born to the late William J. and Bernadine M. Kearns (Green Bay, WI) and is preceded in death by her brothers Donald Kearns and Thomas Kearns.  Isabel is survived by her beloved son, Alexander Sellers IV (Nicolle), and her cherished grandchildren, Taylor K. Sellers, and Alexander Sellers V.  Also survived by her brother, Timothy Kearns (Carol), nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Isabel attended the University of Denver, where she studied English.  While in college, she met her husband, the late, Alexanders Sellers III (Stonington, CT).  Isabel’s career brought her to Whitefish Bay, WI, where she raised her son. She enjoyed many years as Director of Advertising for the fashion house, JH Collectibles.  Her second act was in development for Camp Heartland. 

Upon moving to the Florida, Isabel loved to donate her time and talents to the Sarasota Orchestra Association.  She also loved spending time on the water with the Bird Key Yacht Club group.  Isabel was an extremely witty and captivating storyteller, with a fabulous sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a life-long learner.   She loved to read, peruse different galleries, spend time with her Movie Mavens and had a great passion for art.   Spending time with family and friends were amongst her happiest moments.   Isabel’s zeal for travel took her to amazing destinations around the world. She loved Door Country, where she spent family summers in her youth. Isabel was immensely proud of her loved ones and leaves behind beautiful memories.  She was a walking inspiration to all she met.  Her positivity left an indelible mark on those who came into her life.

A private family memorial is planned for a later date.
