Valeriy Koval

Obituary of Valeriy Ivanovich Koval

His life went fast, with so much to do. He made lots of beautiful memories and some painful ones too. He gets the news that times coming near, where he must close the chapter of his life down here. So, he gets on his knees, and he starts to pray, not just for himself but for the ones he loves so dear.

He prays with worry for the wife he will leave, because those short 50 years together were not enough, he fears.

He prays for five children he is so proud of, for comfort and peace during their upcoming lose. He takes a moment to mourn for the three in the ground, but then puts on a smile as he thinks he will be joining them now.

And a long prayer for all 18 grandchildren, how blessed he was to have been able to meet them. May they find their way to the Lord when life brings them down, he makes sure to ask God take care somehow.

A prayer for his brothers and their families, and for the ones he calls friends for he loves them all tremendously.

He prays for forgiveness if he’s ever done wrong, for mercy, for grace, and salvation to come. He prays for the strength to face what’s to come, and for every extra day God already let him hold on.

He gets off his knees as he faces the day, but how hard it is when you’re in so much pain. So, with one more breath he says, “dear Lord, I trust in you, so when the time comes will you carry me home?”

That day has come and although we weep for our loss is great and it is deep. We most move on and live our lives, prepare our hearts, and see life through this man’s eyes.

He had the time to prepare his heart, to talk with his Heavenly Father about his fight.

He is set free with no more pain, with breathless beauty he wouldn’t be able to explain. He cried once more but with tears of joy as Jesus asked for him to join.

“Let’s walk and talk on those streets of gold to make sure those prayers you prayed for the loved ones will hold!”
