Obituary of Stanley W. Sawicki

Stanley W. Sawicki, age 79, died on January 25, 2006 at the Venice Regional Medical Center, Venice, FL. He was born on February 6, 1926 in Boston, MA. He retired as a Quality Control Engineer for the Department of Defense. He moved to Englewood, FL in 1984 from Harwich in Cape Cod, MA. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood, FL; VFW Post 10718 and of National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanna Sawicki (nee Piotrowski) of Englewood, FL; children, Elaine Derrick of Leesville, SC; Robert Sawicki of Charlestown, SC; and Glenda Sawicki of Sarasota, FL. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Memorial Donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742. Farley Funeral Home and Crematory Venice Chapel is handling arrangements.
