Obituary of Adele M. Hervey

Adele Hervey, 81, of Rotonda West, died February 27, 2006. She was born September 26, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Hervey moved to Florida in 1979 from Garden City, NY. She was a homemaker and an author, publishing some of her own life stories. Mrs. Hervey was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood, FL; a member of Long Island and South Florida Chapters of the 99’s Renowned Organization for Women Pilots; held her Commercial Pilots License; a member of H2U (Englewood Senior Friends Bridge Club); Past President and Fundraiser for the Garden City League for Helen Keller Services for the Blind. She is survived by her son Virgil W. Hervey of Yellow Springs, OH; two daughters, Patricia Thomson of Rotonda West, FL & Jacqueline Reinhard of Garden City, NY; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006, 10:00 AM at Venice Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, Venice, FL.
