Obituary of Ruth Marion Johnson

Ruth Marion Johnson, age 85, of Venice, FL died on March 11, 2006. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 11, 1921, and came to Venice in 1977 from Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member and Past President of the Culture Club in Saginaw, the Women’s Farm and Garden Club, and was a Master Bridge Player, participating in Bridge Clubs in Saginaw. She was a member of the Protestant Faith, and former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. Surviving family members include her husband, William C. (Bill) Johnson, of Venice; daughters Carol Klein Masone of Sommers, NY, and Susan L. Benaway of Saginaw, MI; sons Michael P. Klein of Saginaw, Bruce H. Klein of Siesta Key, FL, Patrick B. Johnson of Siesta Key, and William C. Johnson, Jr. of Saginaw; niece Susan Ruth Callender; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her nephew, Jonathan Paul Callender. Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be on Monday, March 13, 2006 from 2 – 4, and 6 – 8 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Funeral service will be held at Farley Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 11 AM.
