Obituary of George A. Kent

George Arthur Kent, 92, died March 31, 2006. He was born in Fitzgerald, GA April 12, 1913 and came to Venice, FL from Springfield, MO. He was a master machinist for the Frisco Railroad in Springfield, and a salesman for the Milnot Company until his retirement. He was a life time member of Masonic Lodge number 5 in Springfield and a Deacon at the Briar Street Baptist Church also in Springfield. Survivors include his daughter, Jerry Sobery of Venice; son in law Arthur Sobery also of Venice; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters in laws, Gerry Rose of Springfield and Kathleen Ricard of Colorado Springs, CO. Visitation will be held Saturday April 8th from 3:00 to 3:30 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Mo with the funeral service at 3:30 PM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
