Obituary of Gladys L. Baumer

Gladys L. Baumer, age 87, of North Port, died on October 13, 2006. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 21, 1919, and moved to Sarasota in 1990, then to North Port in 2002. She worked for the Jergens Corporation in Cincinnati for 10 years before retiring. Mrs. Baumer was a member of the Catholic Faith. Surviving family members include her husband, John, of North Port; son David Hatfield and his wife Jo Ann of Nokomis; daughter Carol Hoctor and her husband William of Cincinnati; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Hatfield and brother Charles Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice on Wednesday, October 18th at 11 AM. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
