Obituary of Cheryl Andrick Shingledecker

Cheryl Andrick Shingledecker, age 49, of North Port, died on March 10, 2007. She was born in Akron, Ohio on September 5, 1957. She came to Englewood in 1971, and she also lived in Venice before moving to North Port. Cheryl was a Venice High School graduate, and worked at Unisource, Unique Air, and Venice Hospital. Cheryl was a Christian and a member of the Lemon Bay Church of Christ. She served as Chaplain for the Florida State Fireman’s Auxiliary. Cheryl was also active with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and was a strong advocate of the neighborhood watch program. She was a craft artisan, working in many different mediums. Surviving family members include her husband, Michael Shingledecker, of North Port, son Camden Shingledecker of North Port; parents Ronald F. and Carol Andrick of Englewood; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and “her boys” Rocky and Coco. Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Andrick. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 @ 11:00 AM at the Lemon Bay Church of Christ, 7000 Regina Drive, Englewood, FL. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Sarasota/DeSoto Unit, 2801 Fruitville Road, Suite 250 Sarasota, FL 34237.
